Find and Compare ADHD and Autism Clinics in the UK, in One Place
If you're looking for an ADHD or autism assessment in the UK, you've probably already hit the wall. Hundreds of clinics and support services, prices from a few hundred pounds to well over a thousand, waiting times that range from days to months, and websites that all say they're "trusted" and "experienced."
Our clinic finder and clinic comparison tool were built to cut through that. Here's what they do and how to get the most from them.
The problem with searching clinic by clinic
Most people start with a search engine and open ten tabs. Then comes the spreadsheet, where you try to work out:
- Does this clinic assess adults, children, or both?
- Is the price for the assessment only, or does it include the report and medication titration?
- Is it regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)?
- Does it accept NHS Right to Choose referrals?
- Is it online, in person, or both?
- How long is the wait?
The answers are scattered across different sites, and they're rarely presented in the same way twice. We standardise them so you can compare like with like.
Tool 1: The Clinic Finder (matched in about 2 minutes)
The Clinic Finder is a short guided questionnaire: five quick questions, free to use, and no account needed. It takes your answers and gives you personalised clinic recommendations. It covers things like:
- What you're looking for: ADHD, autism, or a combined assessment
- Who it's for: adults, adolescents, or children
- How you want to pay: private, or NHS Right to Choose
- How you want to be seen: in person or online telehealth
- Where you are: so you can see local options and remote providers
You get a shortlist of clinics that match, not a long list of everything in the country.
Not sure where to start? The finder is designed for exactly that. You don't need to know the difference between private and Right to Choose, or between a screening and a full assessment, before you begin.
Tool 2: Side-by-Side Clinic Comparison
Already have a few clinics in mind? Hit Compare on any listing in the clinic directory to put clinics next to each other. You can compare:
- Waiting times
- Budget
- Age groups covered
- CQC ratings
Seeing this in one view takes away the guesswork. It also makes it easier to spot a very cheap assessment, which isn't always the bargain it first looks. Check what's included before you decide.
Filter the directory your way
If you'd rather browse than answer questions, the directory lets you filter and sort by:
- Service type: ADHD assessment, autism assessment, combined assessment, medication and titration, coaching, therapy, workplace support and more
- Location: major UK cities, or remote and national online providers
- NHS Right to Choose: show only clinics that accept RTC referrals
- Patient reviewed: show only clinics with patient reviews
- Sort order: highest rated, most reviewed, or A to Z
You can also go straight to a local guide: ADHD assessments in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds, or autism assessments in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.
How we show trust and quality
Choosing a clinic is a big decision, so we use signals you can check yourself:
- CQC and professional standards: every listed clinic is cross-checked against regulators such as the CQC, or relies on practitioners registered with bodies like the HCPC, GMC and NMC
- CQC ratings on each listing: so you can see the current rating, or whether CQC registration doesn't apply or is pending
- Patient reviews: use the "Patient Reviewed" filter to focus on clinics with feedback from real patients
- Verified badges: clinics that have been through our verification process
A note on how results are ordered
We believe in being open about this. Some clinics are Neuro Registry partners and may appear higher in results or be marked as featured. By default, the directory shows featured clinics first, but you can re-sort by highest rated, most reviewed, or A to Z in one click. Partner status never replaces the details you can compare yourself: waiting times, fees, regulation and reviews. Use the comparison tool to check any clinic, partner or not, against the others.
